Hi, my name is Emily Stitt, and I am so excited to welcome you to Kindergarten! I look forward to getting to know each of my students and their families as we begin this special year of learning and growth together.
I live in Platte City with my family. My daughter, Lauren, will be starting 5th grade at Siegrist Elementary this year, and my partner, Chris, and I are celebrating 20 years together this August. Outside of school, I enjoy gardening, reading, baking, and building with Legos.
I have been teaching since 2007, and I feel fortunate to have taught 4th grade, Kindergarten, and 1st grade, with most of my experience in Kindergarten. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from UMKC and my Master’s in Teaching and Technology from William Woods University.
Kindergarten holds a very special place in my heart, and I feel honored to be part of such an important beginning in your child’s school journey. I look forward to helping each student grow in confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning throughout the year.
