Hi! My name is Ms. Johnston. I am really excited to learn alongside you and your 2nd grader this year. I have been an educator since 1994!! But, my passion and spark for education began in a 6th grade classroom with an amazing teacher who opened my eyes and heart to literature. She and I still "talk books" to this day!!
My passion is for all of the students who walk through the door of our classroom to learn from each other and build a beautiful classroom community that supports one another. I have one daughter, Callie Rose, who is a pediatric nurse in Memphis, TN and is getting married in the fall. Family and relationships are very important to me. I spend a lot of my spare time volunteering at the rabbit hOle, making blankets, reading, traveling, spending time with family and friends, creating and crafting, and enjoying the outdoors.
