My name is Dr. Anna Bohn, and I am so excited to serve as the Principal at Pathfinder Elementary! I am originally from the Kansas City area and joined the Pathfinder family as the Assistant Principal in 2018. Prior to being a Pathfinder Pirate, I served as a third grade teacher in Topeka and then taught fourth grade at Siegrist Elementary in the Platte County School District. I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Kansas, and my master's degree in Administration, Education Specialist in Administration, and my Doctorate in Educational Leadership all from William Woods University. My husband, Sebastian, and I live in the Northland with our three dogs, Rocky, Stella, and Lily. Sebastian and his family are from Germany, so we enjoy traveling overseas to explore and visit family and friends whenever possible. Outside of education, I am also an avid reader, runner, and synchronized figure skater. We are also expecting our first child, a baby boy, in early December 2023!

I have been very fortunate to spend the last five years building strong relationships with Pathfinder students, staff, and parents as first the Assistant Principal, then as the Principal. I have a strong passion for early literacy instruction and am LETRS Certified and Orton Gillingham trained. I have worked alongside a team in developing a systematic approach for that instruction at Pathfinder and district-wide.

I believe the foundation of an effective school is relationships and I am so excited to continue building those relationships with Pathfinder students, staff, and families! I can't wait to meet you!

"We Are Learners, We Are Leaders, We Are Pathfinder!"

My name is Emily Miller, and I am honored to be the Assistant Principal at Pathfinder Elementary. I joined the Platte County Pirates in 2019 as a 4th grade teacher at Pathfinder.  I'm originally from the Kansas City area and currently reside in the within the district. I received my Bachelor's degree from Missouri Western University in Elementary Education, Masters from Arkansas State University in Reading Education, and an Education Specialist degree in Leadership from Arkansas State University in Leadership. Prior to joining Pathfinder, I worked in the St. Joseph School District teaching 4th, 5th, and 6th grade. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son. We spend a lot of time outdoors and enjoy taking our boat out to go fishing. I am an avid reader and always enjoy talking about the latest good reads.

I have had the privilege of honing my  leadership skills as a teacher leader at Pathfinder and throughout the district, serving on the ELA curriculum team, phonics team, and as Pathfinder’s Summer School Principal. I believe in the value of real world learning and offering meaningful experiences to our students, as well as the importance of relationships with students, staff, and families. I look forward to continue working closely with Pathfinder families and staff to create a positive educational experience for all.
